Cameron's Farewell

One of the YSA guys here is leaving on his mission!  Yahoo.  So he had a big farewell party the other night.  He is going to the states and so it was American themed!  So fun.  They had pizza, hamburgers, hot-dogs and lots and lots of sugar!  It made me feel right at home.  I loved it!  A great night.

This guy served in the same mission as a guy in my hometown!  Fun connections to make.  Small world in the church.  Small world.

Avoca

Went on a little day trip to the cutest little Irish town in this country!  Avoca!  It was so cute.  Exactly what I pictured Ireland being like.  Such an adorable little town.  I loved it!

The most delicious hot chocolate and yummy treat ever!  To die for! The chocolate in Ireland is amazing.  I've never been a big chocolate fan, but Ireland has changed me.  Now I want to eat chocolate all the time.  Because it tastes so yummy!

Girls Night

One of my roommates (Nikki) and I had a girls night the other night!  We watched a movie titled The Help (really good by the way) and had junk food, of course!  We had a great time!  Good times in Ireland.  Good times.

Snow In Ireland

The other night it snowed here in Dublin.  Yep.  For real.  It did.  The snow didn’t stick, but it snowed!  It’s funny because the Irish people don’t respond well to snow.  At all.  They kind of all freak out and don’t know how to handle it.  At all.  It took me nearly two hours to get home that night, instead of an hour.  There were so many traffic jams and accidents and such.  It was crazy.

Oh The Little Things

The other night I was at a church activity and a little girl came up to me and my friend Lorna and she had her big case of Frozen markets and crayons and paper and such.  She pulled out the markers and asked Lorna and I if we wanted her to draw for us.  Of course we said yes!  Of course.  She was a cute little 6 year old.  How do you say no to that?  And then she continued to use our arms as her drawing board.  And this my friends, was the result.  It was the best.  Oh, the little things.

Chocolate Croissant

Chocolate Croissant.  Heaven.  Yum.  Yum.  Yum.  Yum.  These things are delicious!  Very delicious.  A fellow American who is here with her family while her husband works introduced me to these fantastic things.  They are to die for.  I love them.  I'm sure they make them all over the world.   But I'm telling you, in Ireland, they taste so yummy!

Hiking In Glendalough

January 27, 2015 Tuesday

My friend Stephen and I went hiking today.  Which was great!  It was beautiful!  We went out to Glendalough again and it was beautiful!  I couldn't believe it.  It was just amazing.  The hike was a great challenge and beautiful weather.

There was a baptism tonight in the YSA!  Yahoo!  So I got to attend that, which was wonderful of course. Love to see the work moving forward.  And then after the baptism we had institute class!  Yahoo.  And I got to talk with dad tonight for about 20 minutes and that was super nice to chat with him!
