I Did It! Miracle.

I did it!  And I survived.  It's a miracle.  Today was the very first day that I rode the Dublin Bus!  And I didn't get lost.  Or die.  Or do it terribly wrong.  Or anything ridiculous like that.  I DID IT!  Yay!  Yay!  Yay!  Okay, so maybe I am getting a little bit overly excited about this whole thing.  But folks, let's be real.  I am from a nice, quiet, small little town in good ol' Utah.  Where we don't have this magical thing called a city bus system.  Therefore, I haven't a clue how any of it works.  Why would I?  So I was a little anxious to venture out and try this whole bus thing.  But I survived!  I rode bus 27 to the city center where my school is (DIT on Aungier Street).  It takes about an hour.  It's a good little ride.  I arrived and met up with a girl who I met on the International Facebook page.  Her name is Sis.  She's from Denmark!  She's real sweet.  She introduced me to two guys.  One from Germany and another from Sweden.  The four of us got along great and spent the day together!  We went on a city tour of Dublin.  It was nice!  We learned some fun facts about different buildings and statues and such.  Then the four of us went to a little cafe down the street from DIT and they all got some coffee and I got some soup!  We stayed for a few hours and chatted and got to know one another. They are a fun group.  Definitely different than your typical "Utah group", but I loved it.  It's fascinating to be around people from such different walks of life, in every way.  I'm provided with a lot of opportunities to share the Gospel too and I love that!  It comes up in conversation SO EASILY and of course I love having the chance to share.  It's wonderful!  We had a great time.  Then we left the cafe and I walked with Sis (about 30 min) to her place.  We hung out for about an hour and then I caught the bus up to Finneglas for family home evening with the young single adult group.  We had a scavenger hunt!  It was a blast!  Then I caught the bus home (1.5 hour ride).  That was a long ride!  I didn't get home until 11 pm.  Ay yi yi!  It's quite a different life here.  I really do enjoy it.  But today was a long day!  But hey, I'm in Ireland.  I'll take a long day anytime!
