IKEA & Peter Pan Panto

January 16, 2015 Friday

This morning I met up with Soes and Jacob and we went to IKEA!  Haha.  Fun times.  Soes had to get some stuff for her place and so we all went along for an adventure and then afterwards we got some food there at IKEA and had a nice little chat with one another.  I got the chance to tell them a ton about my mission and what I did and it was a blast! I love being the minority out here and being able to share things like that with people that have never encountered it before!  It’s exciting!  And it makes me so thankful for the Gospel in my life and the knowledge that I have the the experiences I have had.  It’s fun to share!  I love it!  A lot. Tonight Jacob, Soes and I went to a play!  Yes, me, went to a play.  I know, don’t all be surprised at once.  And the even crazier part is that I LOVED it.  Haha!  Yep.  You might need to sit down now and get over the shock of what I just said.  Haha!  I’m shocked too.  So here they do these things called a “panto”.  Basically they take a story (like Peter Pan, which is what we saw tonight) and they incorporate modern songs into it and funny and random parts that you don’t expect and the audience boos when the bad guy comes onto stage and they involve the audience a lot in the play.  It’s so much fun and adorable and hilarious!  I wasn’t expecting any of it.  I thought we were just seeing a Peter Pan play.  And so I was shocked when they started singing all these songs that I knew like, all about the bass and songs from the movie Frozen and crazy things like that.  It was a blast!  Such a blast.  I loved it.

IKEA Trip with some of the other international students that attend DIT with me!  Soes is from Denmark and Jacob is from Sweeden!  Such fun times.
